A Bolivian Christmas Tree

We bought a fake Christmas tree.  I’m sad.  But we were told that real trees are expensive and can be hard to find, so we just went for it and got a fake one.

We got lights, bulbs, and a star to decorate the tree, and we brought a handful of our favorite ornaments from the States – including a wood cutout of the U.P. – to finish it off.

The strangest part of putting the the tree, though, was doing it in shorts.  I’m currently writing this with a fan blowing on me, right in front of the tree.  Christmas in summer – without snow – is a strange thing…

    I agree that Christmas in the summer heat would be very weird. Thanks for sharing the pictures. If it makes you feel better (or worse), we woke up to 24 degrees and snow flurries this morning. There is talk of a 4-6 inch snow coming next week in Illinois.
