Where’s the Turkey?

In Bolivia turkeys are expensive.  Like $50/turkey expensive.  So we skipped on the turkey for Thanksgiving.  Sad, yes, but worth it, since we replaced it with steaks on the grill, prepared by Grover.

But we didn’t skimp on the rest of the meal, with Grandma Williams’ cornbread, stuffing, potatoes, green bean casserole, and fresh pumpkin pie with homemade ice cream.

And although our family is far away, we enjoyed the day with our adopted Bolivian family, Grover and Nelvia.  Our new teammates, Laura and Wendy, also joined us for the evening.

ThanksgivingWe’re thankful for the love and support we have both in the States and in Bolivia.  It’s hard being away, but God has provided us with close friends here. And we thank Him for His innumerable gifts to us, most importantly the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.
