We Love Our Suitcases…
Today we moved.
You may be wondering why we had to move since we were living with a Bolivian family. Unfortunately, our first Bolivian family had already agreed to host another missionary family before we arrived in Bolivia, and as a result we could only live with them for about 1 1/2 months. Because our new apartment will be occupied until August 28, we moved in with another Bolivian family this morning.
We are excited to have the opportunity to learn more about Bolivian culture from another family and experience their way of life. The family has two daughters that are about our age, and the mom enjoys cooking (which makes me happy, because she´s already agreed to teach me how to cook more Bolivian food!). And, of course, living with the family will continue to help us learn Spanish quickly!
One difficult part of moving in with another family is that we still do not have our own place to live. It´s been about 3 months since we moved out of our apartment in Houghton, and all of the time in transition has begun to wear on us. Please pray that we can make the most of our living situation for the next month and experience all that God has for us. We desire to learn and serve our family and want to enjoy the next month with them.
